Seminar Schedule Updates

• The Opening Keynote given by Jim Paluch, JP Horizons, Inc. will kick off the seminar schedule on Wednesday, January 6 at 8:20am. There will be no seminars prior to the keynote on Wednesday morning.
• Friday will be Super Certification/Relicensure Day! The following certification, re-certification, and licensure opportunities will be offered on Friday, January 8 at Expo:
  • Pesticide Recertification (for categories A &E)
  • PLT Re-licensure Training (6 Technical Hours) plus you can get 2 hours of National Electrical Code on Wednesday, January 6. This will equal a total of 8 hours of re-licensure credits available during the Green Expo.
  • MNLA Certification Training – Interested in becoming an MNLA Certified Professional? Come to this 4 ½ hour training session on Friday to learn about the test format and study strategies. This session was formerly offered in November each year but has moved to Expo for 2010!
  • PLANET Certification Testing – Become a PLANET Certified Landscape Professional by taking this 4 hour exam at Expo! Who should take the CLP exam? Interior and exterior landscape company owners and managers who want to establish themselves (and their company) as a leader in the industry.
  • Do you have MNDOT Certified Landscape Specialists on staff or are you interested in getting some certified through MNDOT? They can now take this 6 ½ hour course on Friday at Expo!
• Do you consider yourself a plant enthusiast? You won’t want to miss these two new plant focused sessions that have been added on Friday, January 8:
  • 8:30am – 10:30am: New Plant Forum, moderated by Debbie Lonnee, Bailey Nurseries, Inc.
  • 1:00pm – 3:00pm: Plant Combinations, moderated by Mike Heger, Ambergate Gardens.

Legislative Emphasis

• A Green Industry Legislative Forum will end the day on Wednesday, January 6. This interactive forum will facilitate give-and-take on the critical public issues facing the entire green industry.

• New trade show hours for 2010 will be:
  • Wednesday, January 6 from 9:00am – 5:30pm
  • Thursday, January 7 from 9:00am – 4:30pm
  • Friday, January 8 from 9:00am – 1:00pm
